Hundreds of Rajput Karni Sena supporters blocked traffic at the Khidki Daula toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway as they protested against the release of controversial film 'Padmaavat' on Thursday, despite prohibit orders.
The protests took a violent turn after protestors attacked a school bus carrying children. Protesters threw stones at a bus of GD Goenka School near Bhondsi in Sohna, breaking its windows.
After Tuesday's violence surrounding the release of ‘Padmaavat’, TOI reported that Ahmedabad police have registered a total of four complaints under section 308 of IPC i.e. attempt to commit culpable homicide and one complaint in connection with the torching of vehicles at a mall under section 307 of IPC which is attempt to murder.
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali sent an invitation to fringe outfit Rajput Karni Sena and other Rajput associations to watch his troubled film ‘Padmaavat’, its patron and founder Lokendra Singh Kalvi reportedly said in a press conference on Saturday. Kalvi reportedly said the letter has been sent after the date of release of the film has been fixed which shows that this is just a well-planned gimmick.

Reports suggest that SLB will shoot for the episode in the next week along with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Karan had supported Sanjay through his struggle with fringe outfits during the shoot of the film and even in the run-up to its release.
Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar recently watched Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period drama 'Padmaavat' during a special screening at his ashram in Bangalore.
According to reports, Sri Sri loved the film and didn't find anything objectionable in it. He even wondered why there was such a fuss around the movie even when the film honours Rajput warriors and pays a tribute to Rani Padmini. Sri Sri reportedly further felt that SLB's magnum opus will make us feel proud and he has advised that it is a film and everyone should celebrate it.
