On Thursday, October 13, India reported 2,786 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 2,557 people recuperating from the deadly infection and 12 people succumbing to the virus in the last 24 hours as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the overall tally of Covid-19 infections in the country has reached 4,46,21,319, and the death toll has climbed to 5,28,847 in the last 24 hours, said the ministry. 


Comprising 0.06 percent of the total cases, the active caseload currently stands at 26,509. With the recovery rate standing at 98.76 percent, the total tally of recoveries in the nation has climbed to 4,40,65,963 including 2,557 recoveries being reported in the last 24 hours, as per the ministry's data update. 

The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate currently stand at 1.08 percent and  1.05 percent respectively, said the data. 

Maharashtra 

On Wednesday, Maharashtra recorded 476 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 4 fresh fatalities and 404 people recuperating from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the state health department. 

Mumbai 

On Wednesday, the financial capital reported 194 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 1 fresh fatality due to the viral infection in the last 24 hours. With this, the overall tally of Covid-19 infections in the state has climbed to 11,51,776, and the death toll has reached 19,737, as per the data shared by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. 

Gujarat 

On Wednesday, Gujarat reported 111 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 81 people recovering from the viral infection and no fresh fatality in the last 24 hours, as per the state health department. With this, the total tally of Covid-19 infections in the state has climbed to 12,75,785, and the death toll has reached 12,63,986.
