On Tuesday, October 18, India reported 1,542 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 8 fresh fatalities and 1,919 people recuperating from the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the overall tally of Coronavirus infections in the country has reached 4,46,32,430, and the death toll has climbed to 5,28,913 including 5 fresh fatalities from Kerala and 3 fresh fatalities from Gujarat, Odisha, and West Bengal, said the data. 

 

Comprising 0.06 percent of the total caseload, the active caseload currently stands at 26,449, said the data. With the recovery rate standing at 98.76 percent, the total tally of recoveries in the country has reached 4,40,77,068, including 1,919 recoveries in the last 24 hours, as per the Health Ministry.

Delhi 

On Monday, the national capital recorded 61 fresh Covid-19 cases along with no fresh fatality, as per the state health authorities. The positivity rate in the state has climbed to 3.61 percent, said the authorities. With this, the overall tally of Covid-19 infections in the state has reached 20,04,963, and the death toll remains unchanged at 26,506, said the health department. 

Mumbai 

On Monday, the financial capital of India recorded 96 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with no fresh fatality and 111 people recuperating from the deadly infection, as per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. With this, the total tally of Covid-19 infections in the city has climbed to 11,52,576, the death toll remains stable at 19,738, and the overall tally of recoveries in the city has climbed to 11,31,715, said the health department.
