Covid Updates: India Reports Over 3,000 Fresh Cases

On Tuesday, the national capital recorded 73 fresh Covid-19 cases along with no Covid-19 related fatality in the last 24 hours. With this, the overall tally of Covid-19 infections in the country has reached 4,45,79,088, said the Health Ministry.

On Wednesday, India reported 3,615 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 22 fresh fatalities and 4,972 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the overall tally of Covid-19 infections in the country has reached 4,45,79,088 and the overall death toll has climbed to 5,28,584 including 22 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours which constitutes 8 deaths from Kerala, as per the data. 

The recovery rate stands at 98.72 percent 

Comprising 0.09 percent of the total caseload, the active caseload has declined to 40,979, said the data. With the recovery rate standing at 98.72 percent, the total caseload of recoveries has reached 4,40,09,525, including 4,972 people recovering in the last 24 hours, said the ministry. 


The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 1.12 percent and 1.55 percent respectively, the data showed. So far, 89.44 crore samples have been tested for Covid-19, including 3,23,293 samples being tested in the last 24 hours, as per the Health ministry. 

Delhi 

On Tuesday, the national capital recorded 73 fresh Covid-19 cases along with no Covid-19 related fatality in the last 24 hours, as per the Health authority. With this, the national capital's overall caseload of Covid-19 infections has climbed to 20,03,119 and the death toll remains unchanged at 26,501, said the health officials. 

Maharashtra 

On Tuesday, Maharashtra reported 408 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 2 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the State Health Department. With this, the state's overall caseload of Covid-19 infections has climbed to 81,20,009, and the death toll has climbed to 1,48,333.
