IndiGo Set To Begin Direct Flight Services From Itanagar To Kolkata And Mumbai
IndiGo airlines is all set to begin diret flight services from Itanagar to Mumbai and Kolkata. Read further to know when is it going to begin.
India's biggest airline for passenger flights, IndiGo has declared to begin direct flight services from Hollongi, Itanagar to Mumbai and Kolkata. To reinforce its network in the Northeast area, Indigo will begin these services on November 28, 2022. Itanagar (Hollongi) has turned into the 75th domestic destination and 101st overall destination in the 6E network of IndiGo airlines.
The flight carrier is also likely to begin a second weekly flight from Kolkata to Donyi Polo Air terminal in Itanagar on December 03, 2022. The recently built air terminal is just 15 km away from Arunachal Pradesh's capital, Itanagar (Hollongi). As believed by IndiGo the direct flight services will improve the connectivity of the region making it more accessible for travelers which will boost the tourism sector of this region.
Itanagar becomes the 75th destination on the 6E network
The Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, of IndiGo, Mr. Sanjay Kumar quoted as saying, "We are pleased to announce Itanagar (Hollongi), as the 75th destination on the 6E network. This will be IndiGo's first destination in Arunachal Pradesh. Over the last few years, IndiGo has focused on increasing accessibility in the northeast and now connects seven out of eight states in the region," reported by TOI.
Further, he said, "the direct flights between Kolkata-Hollongi, will connect Arunachal Pradesh to the rest of the country and international destinations on the 6E network. We will strive to stay true to our promise of affordable fares, on-time performance, courteous and hassle-free service, and connecting people with places they love."
Direct flight services on the Mumbai-Gwalior route
Earlier, IndiGo announced the beginning of direct flight services between Mumbai and Gwalior to boost the tourism sector in this region. The Mumbai-Gwalior is known for various destinations like Jai Vilas Palace, Man Mandir Palace, Gwalior Fort, Suraj Kund, Gopachal Parvat, Tansen memorial, Sarafa Bazaar, and many others.
