The recent MS Dhoni fitness alarm is tensing fans of Chennai Super Kings ahead of the deciding IPL 2026 match with Delhi Capitals. The 44-year-old legend has not played the first three matches of CSK due to a strain with a calf during the preparation and has not played at all this season.

It has been reported that Dhoni will be given a final fitness test within the next 48 hours in the Chennai High-Performance Centre. Should he die, the DC game that is scheduled on April 11 to be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) is supposed to be filled by Thala. He already has resume net batting lessons that are not causing significant discomfort.

CSK are currently ranked last in the IPL 2026 points table with 0 points and a negative NRR of -2.517 and desperately require the experience of Dhoni as both middle order and wicketkeeper. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad affirmed that Dhoni is in good shape, and he is looking forward to playing.
