Punjab cop Gurjot Kaler scales Hurro Mountain of Machaadhar Range


* DSP dedicates his achievement to youth of Punjab

Chandigarh, May 22: Deputy Superintendent of Police, Gurjot Singh Kaler scaled the Hurro Mountain of Machaadhar range of the Himalayas situated at a height of 14500 feet (4370 metres). Meanwhile Punjab Police has congratulated him for his remarkable achievement.

Gurjot Singh Kaler, posted as DSP, Organised Crime Control Unit, (OCCU) Mohali, has got mountaineer training from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi where he was awarded with best trainee award. This institute is considered as Asia’s number one school for mountaineering.

         Dedicating his achievement to motivate the youth of Punjab Kaler urged them to focus on physical and mental fitness and shun away the destructive path of drugs.

Apart from mountaineering, he has also displayed an interest in writing books and regularly writing for various leading newspapers and magazines. 

He has recently published a book, "New India -The  Realty Reloaded" which dealt with 40 core issues affecting the soul and psyche of India. This book was reviewed by legendary writers like Ruskin Bond, Shobhaa Dee, and India Today’s Rajdeep Sardesai.
