Amitabh Srivastava I was present at Ramlila Ground when JP gave the call to Army and Police not to obey the wrong orders of the Government on 24 June ,1975 after which emergency was imposed. Incidentally I was also present at Ramlila Ground when the Opposition leaders were released and elections declared by Indira Gandhi against the wishes of Sanjay Gandhi. The ground was packed to capacity and when Atal Behari Vajpayee came on stage he showed why he was the King of Hearts as he started by saying: "बाद मुद्दत के मिले हैं दिवाने, कहने सुनने को बहुत हैं अफसाने, खुली हवा में जरा सांस तो ले लें, कब तक रहेगी आजादी कौन जाने There were calls of 'Wah Wah' as if it was a Kavi Sammelan and not a public meeting!
