Popular Hollywood actor Kevin Conroy who acquired huge recognition and appreciation for voicing Batman in long-running television series Batman: The Animated Series on Warner Bros passed away at 66 after battling with cancer.

Kevin Conroy was born in Westbury, New York, in November 1955. He pursued a course in acting at The Julliard School under John Houseman along with other actors like Christopher Reeve, Frances Conroy, and Robin Williams. After making a successful acting career Conroy died at Mount Sinai Hospital in the city of New York City on November 10, 2022 as he was suffering intestinal cancer. 

According to Variety, From September 1992 until September 1995, Fox Kids broadcast Batman: The Animated Series for a total of 85 episodes. Conroy's vocal work as Batman was immensely appreciated by critics and comic book fans and most of them considered Conroy as the one and only Batman. He also voiced Batman in several other DC productions, such as the video games Batman: Arkham and Injustice. 

Recently Kevin played Batman in Multiverse video game launched this year. Apart from Batman Kevin also did voice work for other video games. He reportedly worked with franchises like Masters of the Universe and Scooby-Doo. He was spotted acting Mer-man in episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Revelation on Netflix in the latter franchise.

His skills got projected in DC Universe Animated Original Movies, such as Batman: Gotham Knight (2008), Justice League: Doom (2012), Batman: The Killing Joke (2016), and Justice League vs. the Fatal Five (2019). Kevin made a debut in Temstocles Lopez's 1992 romantic drama Chain of Desire.  He notably played a character on the NBC serial opera Another World. Iconic shows including Cheers, Murphy Brown and Dallas mark his guest appearance in some of their episodes.

Popular actor Mark Hamill said "Kevin was perfection. He was one of my favourite people on the planet, and I loved him like a brother. He truly cared for the people around him - his decency shone through everything he did. Every time I saw him or spoke with him, my spirits were elevated."
