Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold a private meeting with Pope Francis, the supreme leader of Catholic Christianity, ahead of delegation-level talks in Vatican City on Saturday. It is expected that during this time there will be a discussion on the global scenario regarding cases like Kovid-19.
Giving information about the Prime Minister's programs in Italy, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said on Friday, 'PM Modi will first meet the Pope personally and then after some time, there will be delegation-level talks. Shringla said the Vatican has not set any agenda for the talks.
He said, "I believe it is a tradition that when there is a discussion with the Most Honorable (Pope) there is no agenda set and we respect that. I believe that during this time we will normally take the global scene." And will be involved in discussions on issues that are important to us. I am sure this can be discussed.
