Meaning: Guru is the Creator (Brahma), Guru is the Preserver(Vishnu), Gurudeva is Destroyer(Maheshwara)

History:
Teachers' Day is commended on the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice President of India and the second president of the country. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a regarded educationist. Once, his student asked him, out of respect on the off chance that he would permit them to celebrate his birthday. Dr. Radhakrishnan denied any extraordinary treatment however recommended “Instead of celebrating my birthday, it would be my proud privilege if 5 September is observed as Teachers' Day.”
Significance:
This is a day to respect and show appreciation to all coaches and teachers. Across India, schools and higher educational institutions have been commending this day by honoring Dr. Radhakrishnan. Numerous students show their appreciation and appreciation to their teachers by giving them cards and gifts.
