International Women’s Day on 8th of March 2021 celebration, is to create awareness about the achievements of women as well as their fights and struggles towards their closed ones. While celebrating this beautiful day, it is also important that women should not forget that how they should take care for them also. 

“Self-care” is another one of the important step to take forward to achieve their happy health.

Tips for “SELF-CARE”

Healthy tips at 30

  • Workout which makes you happy and you actually enjoy- This not only enhances your mood but also control your weight and keep you physically fit
  • Increase you water intake- This will help to keep you hydrated and so give you glowing skin. Not only this, it also keeps your weight in control.
  • Start having healthy food- This will not only help to maintain your weight but also keep you away from many diseases as you can get more nutrition’s out of it
  • Night sleep at least 7-8 hours- Taking proper and adequate sleep will keep you fresh and healthy.  

Healthy tips at 40- “Eat nutritious over tasty” should be followed at this age.

  • Cut caffeine- Too much caffeine will cause many disorders like insomnia, so it’s better to cut short the caffeine diet.
  • Increase Protein and Antioxidant diets-Increase your diet containing proteins and antioxidants (mainly present in fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts). These diet will keep you away from many disease which includes some cancers also.
  • Increase Omega-3 fatty acids, Calcium and B12 Intake- By increasing omega-3 in your diet, your joints are much safer as it helps in reducing joints pain. It is important to maintain bone density by consuming calcium daily around 1,000 to 1,200 mg with vitamin D and 2.4 mg of B12 per day in your food like dairy products including fish and egg , as said by Zuckerbrot. 
  • Regular health checkup- This will definitely keep you away from disease by getting correct advice from the doctor. Ignorance of any physical issues like a little body pain should not be done, rather should get checked immediately, to make yourself healthy and fit for long duration.

Healthy tips at 50- This is the time to go for “Dietary selection” to avoid any negative impact in the body. 

  • Nutrition uptake- To this age, there is a requirement to follow the strict diet chart like calcium to maintain bone health, protein to keep healthy muscle mass and Vitamin B-12 for proper brain functioning etc.
  • Dietitian consultation- This is the perfect time where it is important to understand the type and the amount of nutrition required to our body. For this, one should schedule a consultation with a registered dietitian.
  • Fibers in diet- At this age type-2 diabetes occurrence is the most common, so increasing fibbers in the diet will help to slow the release of sugar in the blood, which in turn control the glucose level. Fibers are also most important to maintain weight, reduce cholesterol and help in digestion too as digestive system slows down as we age.
  • Salt Reduction- High blood pressure is another most common disease that can be seen at this age of 50. Reducing salt will keep you and your heart healthy and blood pressure control. 

Healthy tips at 60 and above- Old age makes you somewhat weaker, weakens immune system. To combat this, one should be very cautious and strict toward their lifestyle. 

  • Exercise Modification- Modification in your exercise will make you more comfortable to stick with it. 30 minutes walking on the other hand, is also very important as it will keep your mood good, make your muscles and bones strong and gives you better sleep.  
  • Food Modification- Eating whole food or including more fruits, vegetables, nuts will keep you away from many diseases like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s disease and cancer.
  • Stop alcohol and smoking- As it is well known, that consumption of all this products will harm your body, so quitting at this time is needed. These products are responsible causing many diseases like cancer, lung disease etc.
  • Supplements- Most of the time, supplements at this age is recommended by the doctor, so it is advisable to consult a doctor if any supplements needs to be added. The common supplements which are required are calcium, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 etc.
  • Maintain social life- People interaction either friends, closed relatives or anyone like that makes you to manage your stress, emotions and thus makes you to live long with happiness.

These are the few tips which needs to implement in daily life. If health is good, one can and will achieve, what comes in the mind.
