The artificial intelligence market in India is poised to explode in growth, with a report by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) estimating that the domestic AI market will have expanded to 131.31 billion dollars by 2032. It already exceeded $2.97 billion in the year 2020 and is projected to reach 7.63 billion in 2024 and have a strong growth rate of 42.2 percent in the next few years.

This influx can be explained by blistering digital change and government activity, such as the IndiaAI Mission, the emerging AI-based startups, and its mass usage in sectors such as healthcare, BFSI, retail, manufacturing, and agriculture. The AI market in the world has increased from 103.6 billion in 2020 to 288.8 billion in 2024, whereas its rate in India is even more rapid.

The report highlights the fact that India is highly prepared in the global AI competition with the help of a large pool of talent, digital infrastructure, and policy incentives. Analysts are of the opinion that this expansion would generate millions of jobs and realize a high economic productivity in the coming years.
