First in India! Kochi, Kerala, Set to Become the Country's FIRST City with Modern Light Tram System—Goodbye Traffic Jams!

Kochi will be the first city in India to have a modern light tram transport. Being operated by Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), the project has a pilot line 6.2 km long, stretching between MG Road and Thevara, that provides cost-efficient, green, and efficient urban transit as a complement to the already existing network of metros and the mitigation of traffic.
