Director Aditya Dhar has made a vigorous denouncement of an image that distorts the reputation of their actor Hamza/Jaskirat smoking in the turban in Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, a fake AI-generated image that is circulating online.

Dhar made it clear that the picture is entirely a fake and it has been reconstituted by using artificial intelligence to morph official promotional materials. This is totally false, and it does not constitute the film or any official document published by us. It is this willful deception that is meant to induce and cause mischief, he said.

This became controversial when a Sikh organization based in Mumbai had lodged a complaint against it, claiming that the image is an insult to religious sentiments. Dhar stated that he has the greatest respect of the Sikh community and has ensured that all the depictions in the movie are done with deep sensitivity and dignity.

He threatened to take stern measures against the people behind the sharing of the falsified material and asked people to trust the official releases and go to the theaters to watch the movie. The film that recently broke several huge box office milestones still attracts some attention in the midst of this misinformation row.
