Akash Ambani, a co-owner of Mumbai Indians, was in the news when he walked out of the stadium in the middle of the MI innings in their IPL 2026 match with Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium. A especially dismayed Akash rose out of the box of the owner and left the place as a home team was going through a dramatic batting slide, even turning to people in the stands to go home.
The footage of what transpired was soon videoed virally on social media, with supporters split on whether or not to sympathize with his anger or condemn the action. MI is showing dismal performance in the high-profile match, which has further brought into focus the issue of form and management of the team led by Hardik Pandya.
It is not the first occasion that one of the members of the Ambanis has demonstrated a lot of emotions during a game; however, the fact that Akash leaves the match in the middle is discussed throughout the entire world of cricket.
