Bollywood actor Ameesha Patel has now come out in support of the Hindi film industry when Zakir Khan criticized it at a recent award ceremony. Zakir, in the process of hosting the event, joked that although Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, was billed as the phenomenal success among many, Bollywood backroom boys and girls are secretly jealous of its success.
Posting a photo of Zakir on the stage, Ameesha posted on X (previously Twitter) and wrote, "Dude, quit with the NEGATIVITY! DHURANDRHAR has been appreciating and honoring the film industry!" "Superstars such as SRK, Salman, Sunny, Hrithik, Ajay, and so many others have not only given out 1 but 25-plus mega hits and still will keep giving out such hits; aage bhi machaayenge." Chill.
Ameesha, who herself enjoyed tremendous success with the 2001 success Gadar, stressed that the industry glorifies real cinema and talent instead of being envious. Her hot-tempered outburst has become the talk of the town, with a lot of people being in her defense against unneeded negativity. The exchange brings out the debate on success, competition, and positivity in the field of Bollywood.
