On March 13-14, 2026, the Haryana State Commission for Women (HSCW) intensified its proceedings against rapper Badshah, ordering him to be arrested when he missed a call in Panipat organized at the tap. <|human|> On March 13-14, 2026, the Haryana State Commission for Women (HSCW) took the further step of ordering the police against rapper Badshah, who refused to turn up at a mandatory hearing in Panipat. The orders were made on the basis of complaints against the alleged derogatory, obscene lyrics and images in his own recent Haryanvi song, Tateeree, in which, according to critics, women and girls of Haryana are being objectified.
Badshah, Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, commonly known as Badshah, was called to appear on March 6 at 3 PM on March 13, but he did not turn up, even after apologizing earlier and leaving the music video on the platforms. Bhatia informed reporters that she had ordered Bhatia to arrest him anywhere and make search warrants as necessary. She further ordered seizing his passport so that he could not go to India, banning his shows in the state, and liaising with police in Panchkula and Jind, where the FIRs under the Indecent Representation of Women Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita are registered.
The action by the commission has further fueled the backlash in ensuring that there are stricter accountabilities in the music content. None have so far been arrested, but police are said to be chasing after lookout notices.
