Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 has achieved a major career milestone by becoming his highest-grossing solo film in India within just three days of its release. The action thriller, which hit theatres on August 14, 2026, has collected over ₹81 crore net domestically and crossed ₹110 crore worldwide during its opening weekend.
The film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of Hashmi’s previous biggest solo success, The Dirty Picture (around ₹80 crore). Strong word-of-mouth and the cult following of the original Awarapan helped the sequel deliver record single-day numbers for the actor. Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Films, Awarapan 2 also stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi.
Trade analysts have called the performance phenomenal, marking a significant box-office comeback for Emraan Hashmi after years of waiting for a solo hit of this scale.
