Dhurandhar: The Revenge by Ranveer Singh has rewritten the history of the Bollywood box office on March 19, 2026, by becoming the first Hindi movie in more than 100 years to gross more than 100 crore net on a single day. The spy thriller Aditya Dhar directed, Sacnilk, grossed 1.55 crore net in 21,728 shows on its official first day (Thursday), a whopping 138.5 percent higher than the 43 crore that it collected in paid previews the day before.

Including previews, the net of India has been 145.55 crore, and the gross is 172.63 crore, and in the global performance, it is approaching 236-240 crore with high performance abroad. It has conquered the previous Hindi openers such as Jawan (₹75 Cr), Animal (₹64 Cr), Pathaan (₹57 Cr), and Stree 2, becoming the largest opening day for any Bollywood movie ever. It also ranks in all-India percentiles only behind pan-India figures such as Pushpa 2 (164 Cr) and RRR (133 Cr) yet leads Hindi cinema history.

This is because the hype that accompanies this film, the large advance bookings, and the mass appeal have taken Ranveer Singh to unprecedented heights in terms of box office receipts.
