Fans have taken a drenching to the news of Jethalal Dilip Joshi's departure from the popular Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which has been in the air for 18 years. The news of 18-year-long Running Gigantic Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah star Jethalal Dilip Joshi's leaving caused a stir among the fans. There was much news and speculation on social media, questioning the future of the long-running hit show, as to when the veteran actor was planning to depart.
However, the makers have come forward to strongly deny these reports. They duly informed that Dilip Joshi is a part of the cast and he is not going to be removed from the show. The resolution seeks to dispel the rumours and clarify doubts for a dedicated audience.
Since its founding in 2008, Dilip Joshi has provided the heart strings of TMKOC with far too many memorable moments as the quintessential middle-class, Gujarati family man Jethalal. On a personal level, his chemistry with his co-stars such as Disha Vakani (Daya) has also played a key role in the shows popular draw on Sony SAB.
As Jethalal is set to remain for his tenure yet again, fans are at ease to enjoy him at home! The show still continues to be one of the oldest and most watched-ever television sitcom shows in India.
