For the first time the political and cinematic worlds are merging, as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. Joseph Vijay aka Thalapathy Vijay has launched the first ever poster for his upcoming political thriller film, Jana Nayagan. The film, which was conceived as Vijay's swan song before he gets into the politics, is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, and is the first-ever major movie to have a sitting Chief Minister as its lead.
The poster depicts co-stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde and others sporting the famous ‘Thalapathy’ logo and gets replaced with ‘Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. Joseph Vijay'. The film is CBFC approved and has already created a huge buzz around it with reports indicating that it will be released later this July.
This project assumes greater relevance as Vijay moved from being a superstar to becoming a CM since the success of the TVK party in the polls. The movie is a product that audiences and critics are keenly anticipating to see his personal experience in the public arena translated onto screen. This no one has ever seen before is a cross over that will be changing the demarcation lines between Tamil films and politics.
An event in the history of evoking entertainment in India!
