The Cockroach Janta Party, or the CJP, is an explosive initial achievement from the creative and also indignant Generation Z, who have dominated Indian social media sites. It started with the chief justice, Surya Kant, calling some jobless youth and activists 'cockroaches' and has already since morphed into a complete satirical political movement.
The party was started by PR student Abhijeet Dipke and soon had more than 1 lakh people sign up with just a Google form. CJP, of course, has a whimsical 5-point manifesto on the issue of unemployment among the youth, exam leaks, anti-corruption, clean air, and making a virtual event that appeals to a youth convention of Gen Z.
Politicians such as Mahua Moitra have embraced the movement, and people are confidently shouting, “Proud to be a cockroach." The viral sensation is a stark indictment of system-based youth disillusionment, carried out far from the mainstream media, and has become a symbol of youth resilience and digital rebellion. So, if it's still being satiric or further developed, CJP will already be the best web political phenomenon of 2026.
