The Malhaar Centre of Performing Arts in Dubai, which has a large group of 13 Indian students, has hit a viral sensation through their distinct classical Indian version of the UAE national anthem, "Ishy Bilady." The young performers played traditional instruments, including the sitar, tabla, and flute, to give a soulful and harmonious version of the songs, blending beautifully the Indian classical music with the Emirati anthem.
The video provided by the Malhaar Centre has rapidly become viral among social media users both in India and the UAE, and it touched people's hearts. This touched the heart of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the deputy prime minister and minister of defense. Reposting the video on his Instagram story, he put the comment "Thank you!" as the talent of the students and his respect of the UAE.
The Indian ambassador to the UAE, Deepak Mittal, also deemed it an excellent performance, which has become an icon of a profound cultural affinity and good relations between people of the two countries. The performance has been much more acclaimed as an ideal representation of cultural harmony and unity.
