Popularly referred to as IIT Baba, after he achieved huge popularity during the Mahakumbh Mela due to his innovation of combining IIT education and spiritual life, Abhey Singh has quietly joined married life. The aerospace engineer of IIT Bombay got married to an engineer of Bengaluru, Karnataka, Pratika, on Mahashivratri day, 15 February 2026, at the Aghanjar Mahadev Temple in Himachal Pradesh.
The couple then formalized their union by getting married in court on February 19. They got acquainted approximately a year back, and through mutual spiritual objectives, they connected. Following the marriage, Abhey and Pratika went to his own native place in Jhajjar, Haryana, where he was received by the community members in his hometown, leaving crowds and the media to follow.
Now the couple lives in Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala, where they lead a simple, minimalistic life. Abhey is determined to continue with his spiritual sadhna and to propagate Sanatan Dharma. The news has elicited both positive and negative reactions on the internet, with most celebrating the unions and others questioning the marriage of a religious leader.
