New York: Indian model Bhavitha has turned into the victim of an enormous online assault following her presence at the Met Gala 2026. Even though the Fashion is Art theme of the event saw celebrities in flashy, artistic attire, Bhavitha chose to wear something more relaxed: blue jeans and a plain white top.

The users of social media criticized her decision, with many referring to it as being disrespectful to the prestigious event and questioning how she got an invitation to this event. Suggestions included everything from commenting on the quality of the work to even leaving opinions on the level of the dress code worn by even college freshers.
