Elegance was the keynote word at Isha Ambani's petite gathering for the Indian Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale. Wearing a look-see to his own breathtaking custom fashion creation of a sari, RRF's director wore the house's own copy of Look 72 for spring/summer 1989.
The floor-length gown was deep wine-colored and was decorated with exquisite gold embroidery patterns and floral work, wonderfully combining the structured Western style with the grace of a traditional Indian gown, which was draped on the floor. Isha finished it off with an emerald jewelry piece, a regal braid, stunningly red lips, and completed the outfit.
It was India's comeback to the Biennale in Venice after a gap of seven years. With Nita Ambani in her golden saree and others, Isha was instrumental in putting India's artistic acumen on the global platform.
So, the appearance of fashion enthusiasts' laughter appears to be transformed as pure Indo-Western fusion, and soon it went viral on social media. Once again, Isha is involved in international high fashion with their Indian connections.
