During an interview on Overlap Cricket, former IPL chairman Lalit Modi amazed former England captain Michael Vaughan by telling him about his fantastic Ferrari.
Modi justified that his own childhood yearning for having a Ferrari had been thwarted by his father, who feared that it was excessively fast. He later obtained his first one as a 40th birthday gift from his brother-in-law. Then motivated by it, Modi began a family tradition, which consisted of presenting his son with a Ferrari on his birthday starting at the age of 21.
“So, we have one of the largest collections of Ferraris. There are 32 now. He has eleven of them, construing mine, leaving Vaughan looking in dismay. Modi would say that his son is a fortunate one simply because he was not able to have one when he was a child.
The disclosure shows the legendary, flamboyant life of Modi many years after his high-profile life in Indian cricket. Other aspects, such as the plans of a new international MMA league by Modi, were also discussed.
