The official trailer of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana has left fans stunned after revealing that Ranbir Kapoor plays a double role in the film. While he primarily portrays Lord Rama, eagle-eyed viewers spotted him also appearing as Parshuram (Parashurama) in a key sequence.
In the scene, Parshuram kneels before Rama and offers him Sharanga, the celestial bow of Lord Vishnu. The striking resemblance and performance confirmed what India TV later exclusively verified — Ranbir is essaying both roles.
Social media erupted with praise, with fans calling the dual portrayal “divine” and predicting that theatres will turn into temples when the scene plays on the big screen. Many hailed Ranbir’s calm intensity as Rama and the powerful cameo as the warrior sage.
The revelation adds another layer of excitement to the already highly anticipated epic, which also stars Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The first part is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release.
