Superstar Ranveer Singh is on a non-cooperation campaign by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). The verdict came after the actor abruptly quit Farhan Akhtar's highly-anticipated movie Don 3, which was announced on May 25, 2026.

The production house Excel Entertainment reportedly lost ₹45 crore of pre-production money due to the walkout of Ranveer, just weeks before the commencement of shooting. FWICE chief advisor Ashoke Pandit said that the actor failed to heed several notices to address the issue, causing hundreds of crew members to lose their jobs.

Ranveer’s team has come back with a response claiming that it is a matter which needs to be addressed in a legal and a dignified manner. The development has prompted heated discussion and debate in the industry around professional commitment, star power and workers' rights. The directive is not a prohibition per se, but it certainly has a real effect on the ability of Ranveer to shoot new projects while the issue is pending.
