In an unusual development in Bollywood, Salman Khan has issued a legal notice to the producers of the upcoming movie 'Kala Hiran,' whose story appears to have been inspired by the falsehood of his infamous blackbuck poaching story in Jodhpur. The actor who found himself acquitted in the long-running wildlife case has taken strong objection to the project—alleging that it is an attempt at 'sensationalization' and defamation.

The notice urges the makers of the film to stop production and promotional activities of the film immediately, according to sources close to the development. The video is now said to be based on the 1998 shooting incident spanned by the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain, one of the biggest celebrity murder dramas in India.

The whole development has again thrown the spotlight on Salman's longstanding litigious issues and his "zero tolerance" policy with respect to anything that is targeting his personal image. The ones who hoped for the superstar are openly divided, some favoring the former while a few await the response of the filmmakers to the legal notice. The discussion in itself already has gotten a huge amount of attention through social media.
