Comedian Samay Raina delivered a sharp one-liner targeting Alia Bhatt’s recent film Alpha during a members-only episode of India’s Got Latent Season 2. The joke came amid banter with guest Raghav Juyal, who was promoting his own film.

When Raghav mentioned having to repeatedly declare himself a star, Samay quipped about the need for self-promotion. Raghav then referenced Alia Bhatt doing the same for her projects. Without missing a beat, Samay responded, “Uski bhi nahi chali thi” (Even hers didn’t work), clearly alluding to Alpha’s disappointing box office performance.

The film, part of the YRF Spy Universe and co-starring Sharvari, had underwhelmed commercially despite heavy promotions. Notably, Alia and Sharvari had appeared as guests on the premiere episode of the same show to promote Alpha. The clip has since gone viral, with fans appreciating Samay’s signature no-holds-barred humour.
