In Season 2 Bonus Episode 2, released on 10 August 2026, Samay picked up the microphone after a contestant’s performance and began singing. He declared, “Yo Yo Honey Singh ka fan hoon main,” before continuing with lines that referenced “Brown Rang.” The moment was widely seen as a cheeky nod to the long-standing feud between Badshah and Yo Yo Honey Singh over credits for the hit track.
Badshah, who was a guest on the episode, has previously claimed he wrote the lyrics of ‘Brown Rang’ while Honey Singh composed the beats. The two were once part of the hip-hop group Mafia Mundeer before their professional split. Clips of Samay’s roast quickly went viral, reviving discussions about the old rivalry. Honey Singh later reacted to related clips by calling Badshah “meri nalayak aulaad.”
