Shraddha Kapoor is making a smart career move with the upcoming Ashneer Grover biopic. Reports suggest the actress may forgo a hefty Rs 20 crore acting fee and instead come on board as a producer.
In the film, Shraddha is expected to play Madhuri Jain Grover, the wife of Shark Tank India judge and former BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover. The project is being written and directed by Rahul Mody, who is reportedly linked with the actress.
Instead of taking a fixed high fee, Shraddha is said to be exploring a backend deal that would give her a stake in the film’s intellectual property rights (IPR). This approach allows her to share long-term profits rather than a one-time payout.
Earlier, Aamir Khan had exited the project due to creative differences. The makers are now looking for a younger actor to play Ashneer. The development highlights a growing trend of actors choosing ownership over high upfront fees in Bollywood.
