Actor Bharat Kapoor died on April 27, 2026, at 3:30 pm in Mumbai at the age of 80. Actor Avatar Gill, his good friend, confirmed that he suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away at Sion Hospital at around 3:30 pm.

Kapoor, who was known for his commanding supporting and villainous roles, starred in popular films like Noorie, Ram Balram, Barsaat, Aakhree Raasta, Hindustan Ki Kasam, and Balidaan. He also starred in successful television series such as Swarg.

Director Ashoke Pandit and many other industry stalwarts expressed condolences and spoke fondly of him as a talent and a good person. His funeral was held on Monday night with relatives and friends in attendance.

Bharat Kapoor’s nearly 50 years of work in Hindi cinema and television was adorned with numerous memorable performances. Many in the film industry have mourned the passing of this stalwart artist.
