With a flashy first-look poster that was dropped on Parshuram Jayanti, Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has launched the ambitious mythological Mahavatar project. Vicky is totally changed in the poster; he is fierce Chiranjeevi Parashurama, the unsurpassable warrior saint and the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, with long hair, a savage beard, a body that is battle-ready, and a fierce expression gripping his iconic axe.

Giving the shooting of the film to Amar Kaushik (seemingly familiar with Stree 2) and producing the film under the auspices of Maddock Films, Mahavatar adapts the story of the ancient warrior of dharma to the screen. The movie is in pre-production and will have a theatrical release on Grand Christmas 2026.

Already fans are talking of the unrecognizable appearance of Vicky and his soon-to-be major change physically to fit the role. This is the first big mythological movie of the actor after devastating performances. Additional cast information and news production will follow as the cast gears up to this epic saga.
