British Vogue has released exclusive photographs from Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez’s private wedding in Portugal, spotlighting the bride’s dazzling Chopard jewellery.
Georgina, 32, paired a minimalist white Gucci silk suit with pieces from Chopard’s ultra-rare Garden of Kalahari collection. The centrepiece was a necklace featuring a 50-carat D-flawless diamond, part of a suite valued between $50 million and $75 million that includes matching bracelets, earrings and rings. Some of the same jewels had previously been worn by Beyoncé.
The intimate living-room ceremony took place on the couple’s 10-year anniversary of meeting. While the outfits stayed understated, the diamonds dominated every frame — including casual shots of Georgina working out with a kettlebell and lounging by the pool still dripping in high jewellery.
Social media reaction was swift and mixed. Many fans praised the opulence, but a large number called the combination “weird,” “tacky” and excessive, with comments such as “diamonds and kettlebells? Just weird and tacky” and criticism that the pieces looked cheap in the informal settings. Vogue itself also drew fire for the photo style.
Despite the online backlash, the images confirm Georgina’s status as one of the most heavily bejewelled celebrity brides in recent memory.
