Yash Claps Back at Rashmika’s ‘Mr Showoff’ Jibe: ‘Somebody’s Opinion Won’t Be My Personality’

Kannada superstar Yash has finally addressed Rashmika Mandanna’s controversial 2017 “Mr Showoff” remark during his appearance on Aap Ki Adalat. In a rapid-fire TV segment years ago, the then-newcomer named Yash as the “Mr Showoff” of the Kannada film industry, sparking strong backlash from his fans.

Responding calmly while promoting Toxic, Yash said he did not know the exact context of her comment. “She was new. There are ‘bakwaas’ TV shows where the interviewer gives 3-4 options, and probably she thought this option would suit,” he explained. He added that many directors were offended, but he took it in stride.

“Anybody can give an opinion about you. But somebody’s opinion will not be my personality. Jo main hoon, woh kisi ke nazariye se nahin badalta hai. Main jo hoon, main hoon,” Yash stated. He also urged fans not to disrespect other actors in his name, saying those who do so cannot call themselves his true supporters.
