Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, plant protein, fibre, zinc and antioxidants that support scalp health and hair strength. For maximum benefit, timing and preparation matter.
The best time is in the morning on an empty stomach or with breakfast. Soaked chia seeds (gel form) are easier to digest and allow better absorption of nutrients. Many prefer overnight-soaked chia pudding or adding soaked seeds to smoothies.
Consuming them consistently for several weeks is more important than a single “perfect” time. Pairing with vitamin C-rich foods can further aid nutrient uptake. Avoid eating large quantities dry, as they expand and may cause discomfort.
While chia seeds support healthy hair from within, results vary and depend on overall diet, hormones and genetics. They work best as part of a balanced routine rather than a miracle cure.
