New Delhi: India's daily Covid graph showed an improvement today, with 14,313 new cases recorded. During the same time period, 549 people died as a result of the infection. The number of active cases is less than 1% of the total number of cases.

Kerala added 7,772 new cases, bringing the total number of cases to 49,44,857, while the number of deaths increased by 471 to 31,156. On Friday, 86 of the 471 deaths were recorded.

Kerala has had the highest number of deaths (471) in the past day, followed by Maharashtra (36), Tamil Nadu (11), West Bengal (8), and Karnataka (8), according to data from the union health ministry (7).

Three people died in each of Assam, Himachal Pradesh, and Odisha, while two people died in each of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. According to the health ministry's Saturday figures, Jharkhand, Manipur, and Punjab each had one death.

The total number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 3.42 crore, with 13,543 patients found in a single day.

India's mortality toll has risen to 4,57,740, while the active population has decreased to 1,61,155. So far, 3.36 crore people in the country have recovered from coronavirus infection, accounting for 98.19 percent of all cases.
