On Tuesday, India registered 796 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 19 virus-related fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. The total tally of Covid-19 cases has reached 4,30,36,132 and the death toll has climbed to 5,21,691, in the last 24 hours, said the ministry. 

Active cases and recovery rate 

The active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total caseload, and the national recovery rate stands at 98.76 percent, said the health ministry. In the last 24 hours, a reduction of 74 cases has been recorded. 

Daily and weekly positivity rate 

The daily positivity rate stands at 0.25 percent while the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.23 percent, as the data showed. With 946 recoveries, the caseload of total recoveries has reached 4,25,02,454 in the last 24 hours, said the ministry. 

Delhi 

In the national capital, 137 fresh cases were recorded along with 144 recoveries and zero virus-related fatality in the last 24 hours, as per the state health bulletin. The active caseload in the city currently stands at 601. Meanwhile, in the last one week 8 cases of Dengue have been reported, pushing the tally of Dengue cases to 69, as per a civic report released on Monday.
