On Tuesday, India reported 4,417 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 23 fresh fatalities and 6,032 recoveries being reported in the last 24 hours, as per the data shared by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the overall caseload of Covid-19 infections in the nation has climbed to 4,44,66,862 and the death toll has reached 5,28,030, said the data.
Comprising 0.12 percent of the total cases, the active caseload currently has declined to 52,336 from 53,974, said the ministry.

With the recovery rate standing at 98.69 percent, the total caseload of recoveries in the country has reached 4,38,86,496, including 6,032 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the ministry's data.
The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate currently stand at 1.20 percent and 2.06 percent respectively, said the data.
Delhi
On Sunday, the national capital registered 218 fresh Covid-19 cases and no fresh fatality, as per the data updated by the State health ministry. The positivity rate stands at 1.93 percent, as per the health department.
Maharashtra
On Monday, Maharashtra reported 549 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 748 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. With the overall tally of positive infections reaching 81,05,403, the death toll has climbed to 1,48,267 and the total tally of recoveries in the state has climbed to 79,48,974, said the ministry.
