On Saturday, August 06, India registered 19,406 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 49 new fatalities and 19,928 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the overall caseload on Covid-19 infections in the country has climbed to 4,41,26,994, and the death toll has climbed to 5,26,649, said the data.

Comprising 0.31 percent of the total infections, the active caseload in the country currently stands at 1,34,793. With the recovery rate standing at 98.50 percent, the total tally of recoveries in the nation has reached 4,34,65,552 including 19,928 recoveries being reported in the last 24 hours, said the ministry.
The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 4.96 percent and 4.63 percent respectively.
Delhi
On Friday, the national capital reported 2,419 fresh cases and 2 fresh fatalities, as per the state health bulletin. This is for the third consecutive day that the national capital has reported over 2,000 fresh cases of coronavirus.
Maharashtra
On Friday, Maharashtra reported 2,024 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 5 fresh fatalities, as per the state health department. With the recovery rate standing at 98.1 percent, the active caseload in the state currently stands at 2,235, said the bulletin.
