On Saturday, India has logged 19,740 fresh Covid-19 cases, 23,070 recoveries and 248 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the latest reports by the ministry of health and family welfare. At present, the country's active caseload stands at 2,36,643 which is the lowest in 206 days. 

On Friday, the cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country crossed 93.90 crore, including 71,75,744, vaccine doses administered on Friday, as per the latest reports by the Union Health ministry.

As per Johns Hopkins University, the global coronavirus caseload has topped 237.2 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 4.84 million and vaccinations soared to over 6.42 billion. In the latest update on Saturday morning, the University's Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) stated that the current global caseload, death toll and the total number number of vaccine doses administered stood at 237,210,769, 4,841,912 and 6,424,300,847, respectively.
