On Thursday, India reported 1,007 fresh Covid-19 cases which is slightly lower than the 1,088 fresh cases recorded on Wednesday, as per the health ministry. With this, India's Covid-19 tally has climbed to 4,30,39,025, showed the data. In the last 24 hours, the country has also witnessed 26 Covid-19 related fatalities, pushing the death toll to 5,21,736, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the active cases have declined to 11,058. The active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total cases, the recovery rate from Covid-19 stands at 98.76 percent, said the ministry.
The country has recorded a daily positivity rate of 0.25 percent and the weekly positivity rate is recorded at 0.23 percent, said the ministry.
With 818 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total recovery tally has climbed to 4,25,06,228, the data showed.
Delhi
On Wednesday, Delhi recorded 299 fresh cases which is around a 50 percent increase as compared to the cases recorded on Tuesday. As per the data shared by the State health department, the positivity rate in the national capital stands at 2.49 percent. With 173 recoveries from the virus on Wednesday, active cases stand at 841, said the bulletin by the State health department.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal stated that the government is keeping an eye on the Covid situation in hospitals and there is no need to panic as of now.
