On Saturday, August 20, India reported 13,272 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 13,900 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, according to the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. 

With the recovery rate standing at 98.58 percent, the total tally of recoveries in the country has climbed to 4,36,99,435, including 13,900 recoveries in the last 24 hours, as per the data. 

Comprising 0.23 percent of the total cases, the active caseload currently stands at 1,01,166, said the data. 

The ministry said that the daily and weekly positivity rates stand at 4.21 percent and 3.87 percent respectively. 

Mumbai 

On Friday, Mumbai reported 1,011 fresh cases of coronavirus. The financial capital of the country reported 1,201 fresh cases on Thursday. 

Delhi 

On Friday, the national capital reported 1,417 new cases of Covid-19 along with 3 new fatalities, taking the overall caseload to reach 19,91,772, and the death toll has climbed to 26,411, as per the State health department. On Thursday, Delhi reported 1,964 fresh Covid-19 cases with the positivity rate standing at 9.42 percent, said the data.
