Covid Updates: India Logs 13,313 Fresh Cases, Maharashtra's CM Tests Positive For The Infection

With fresh cases, the overall caseload of Covid-19 infections in the nation has climbed to 4,33,44,958, as per the health ministry.

On Thursday, June 23, India reported 13,313 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 38 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. Comprising 0.19 percent of the total caseload, the active caseload currently stands at 83,990, said the ministry. 


With this, the overall caseload of Covid-19 infections in the nation has climbed to 4,33,44,958, while the death toll has reached 5,24,941, said the ministry. 

Delhi 

In the last 24 hours, the national capital reported 928 fresh Covid-19 cases, as per the city's health department. With active cases currently standing at 5,054, the positivity rate has reached to 7.08 percent, said the department. 

Kerala 

In the last 24 hours, Kerala logged 3,890 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the overall caseload to 66,12,607, as per the state's health department. On Tuesday, the state reported 4,224 fresh Covid-19 cases, as per the health department. 

Jammu and Kashmir 

On Wednesday, a total of 40 fresh Covid-19 cases have been reported, taking the total tally of infections to reach 4,54,585, as per an official from the health department. With one fresh fatality, the death toll has climbed to 4,755, said the official. 

Maharashtra 

On Wednesday, Maharashtra logged 3,260 fresh cases of coronavirus, pushing the total tally of Covid-19 infections in the state to 79,45,022, as per the state health department. With three fresh fatalities, the death toll has climbed to 1,47,892, said the department. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari tested positive for Covid-19.
