On Friday, India has reported 1,335 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the nation's coronavirus tally to 4,30,25,775, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With 28 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, the death toll has reached 5,21,129, as per the Health Ministry.
As per the data, the active Covid-19 cases have declined to 14,704, comprising 0.03 percent of the total infections. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.75 percent, and the daily positivity rate stands at 0.22 percent, said the ministry.
The ministry said, with 1,918 recoveries being recorded in the last 24 hours the caseload of total recoveries has reached 4,24,90,922.
Maharashtra lifts Covid-19 related restrictions
Amidst declining cases of coronavirus in the state, the State government of Maharashtra has announced to withdraw of all the restrictions related to Covid-19. However, people are advised to keep using masks voluntarily as a precautionary measure.
The order has advised all organizations, establishments, and individuals to follow Covid-appropriate behavior, including wearing of masks and maintaining social distancing.
The DDMA in Delhi withdraws the Fine Policy on not wearing masks in public places
Keeping in view the declining trend of daily Covid-19 cases in the nation, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has also announced to scrap the fine policy von not wearing masks in public places.
An official said, “The mandate to wear face masks has not been removed but those found not wearing a mask in public places would not be penalized anymore. However, they will be advised to wear a mask and follow other safety measures,", quoted as saying by the Times of India.
