On Wednesday, June 29, India reported 14,506 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 30 fresh virus-related fatalities and 9,486 people recuperating from the viral infection, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. Comprising 0.22 percent of the total cases, the nation's active caseload has reached 99,602, said the ministry.

Positivity rate and Recovery rate
With this, the death toll in the nation has climbed to 5,25,047, said the ministry. With the nation's recovery rate standing at 98.75 percent, the total tally of recoveries has reached 4,27,97,092. The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 2.49 percent and 3.36 percent respectively.
Five-fold strategy for States
As reported by news agency ANI, the Union health secretary shared guidelines for states via Twitter, "To minimize Covid-19 infection, there's need to focus on the five-fold strategy of testing, tracking, treating, vaccinating & adhering to Covid appropriate behavior in view of the upcoming festive season when states are likely to witness mass gatherings."
Delhi
In the last 24 hours, the national capital logged 874 fresh cases of coronavirus and 4 fresh fatalities, as per the State's Health bulletin. With the positivity rate standing at 5.18 percent, the active caseload in Delhi has reached 4,482, said the bulletin.
