On Tuesday, India reported 1,569 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 19 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With 19 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection, the death toll has reached 5,24,260, said the ministry. With a decline in fresh cases by 916 cases in the last 24 hours, the country's active caseload stands at 16,400, the ministry said. 

The active cases comprise 0.04 percent of the total infections in the country and the nation's recovery rate from Covid-19 stands at 98.74 percent, said the data. The nation's daily positivity rate stands at 0.74 percent and the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.59 percent, the ministry said. 

Vaccination 

In the last 24 hours, 3,10,218 people got vaccinated with the vaccine against Covid-19, taking the overall vaccination tally to 1,91,37,34,314, the data said. 

Delhi 

In the last 24 hours, the national capital reported 377 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 910 fresh recoveries and one fresh fatality, as per the city's health department. Active cases in the city stands at 3,228 with positivity rate standing at 4.97 percent.
